Standard Terms of SaleThese terms of sale apply to almost any sale at any recycling facility across America. Some variations may occur, and those variations should be outlined on the back of your purchase invoice. To be sure, it is never out of line to ask your salesperson any questions about the sale. Warranty: Mechanical parts carry a 90-day warranty from the date of sale. Parts that have no moving parts are not considered mechanical. Labor costs are not covered under any circumstances* of a standard warranty. Non-mechanical parts are guaranteed to be accurate and fit as the original part did. Many mechanical parts require professional installation. If a part does not meet these requirements, the recycler shall choose to provide a replacement, repair the part, or offer a refund of the purchase price. No cash refunds will be given. The recycler reserves the right to investigate any defective item before issuing a refund or replacement. If the part was shipped to the purchaser and is found to be defective, the purchaser is responsible for the return shipping and the original shipping costs will be refunded. Warranty is void if the part is used in any manner that it was not originally intended for (i.e. converting two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, installing a Chevrolet motor in a Jeep, etc), if it is installed incorrectly, or if the part is abused under conditions such as racing, off-roading, etc. Engine warranties do not include carburetors, injection parts, manifolds, water pumps, soft plugs, or gasket leaks. Parts may be left on the engine for ease of removal/installation but are still not covered in the engine warranty. Warranty void if engine overheats due to improper care, or if heat sensitive indicators are removed or tampered with. Axle assembly warranties do not include any brake parts. Cores: Cores must be drained of any and all fluids or a service charge will be assessed. The core must have all of the parts that were included on the originally sold part, unless otherwise noted. Core must be returned within 30 days. Returns: Returns of defective items are outlined in the warranty section. All returns must be approved by a salesman. Parts returned without approval and parts that are not defective will be subject to a 20% restocking fee, and shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. Walt & Vern's Specific Terms of SaleThis includes all of the above, and also includes the following items. Warranty: All transmissions must be installed by an ASE certified repair facility, and all electrical components must be diagnosed at time of installation or the warranty is void. Shipping: Quoted prices do not include shipping and handling charges unless otherwise specified by the salesperson. All packages have a standard $5 handling charge. There will be an extra fee for crated or palletized packages. We use a very accurate parts interchange system and have trained and experienced employees to ensure that we get the correct part for your order. We inspect parts multiple times before the sale to guard against damage. However, if you receive and install a part that is not correct, Walt & Vern’s is not liable for any consequential damages. Walt & Vern's accepts cashier's checks, Visa/Mastercard, cash, and personal/business checks. Our check processing policy is posted in-store.
