What types of parts do you carry?
We specialize in used, rebuilt, and new parts for trucks, including pickups, one tons, vans, jeeps, and SUV's. We generally restock parts for trucks 15 years old and newer.
How do you obtain your parts?
Walt and Vern's is primarily a light truck recycling facility. We completely dismantle accident damaged trucks, saving only the undamaged, reusable parts to test, clean, and enter into our computerized inventory. We also supplement our used truck parts with rebuilt and new parts, to supply parts that are not readily available used.
If I buy a used part, does it have a warranty?
We stand behind the parts we sell. Our limited warranty is 90 days. Extended warranties are available.
What is your return policy?
Any parts may be returned for any reason. Simply notify us and we will send a call tag to you and UPS will pick the item up from you. You will be responsible for the freight charges both ways and a 20% restock charge to cover the cost of checking part condition, visible and electronic markings, bookkeeping, and inventory correction. In the event your return is due to a mishap on our part, such as with a damaged or incorrect item, no return shipping or restock fees will be assessed.
Do you ship?
Yes, we ship most items nationwide via UPS, USPS, or MotorFreight. We have very competitive MotorFreight rates available. Some items require crating, which is available at an additional cost.
Where are you located and how do I get there?
Walt and Vern's is located at 28520 Highway 410 East, in Buckley, Washington, a small community 25 miles east of Tacoma, Washington.
To reach Walt and Vern's from the north, take I-5 South to I-405 North, to 167 South, to 410 East. We are 12 miles on the right on 410.
From the south, take I-5 North to 512 East, to 410 East. We are 12 miles on the right on 410.
From the east, take I-90 West to 18 West, to Highway 169, to Highway 410 East. We are 4 1/2 miles on the left on 410.

I went to buy a new [insert truck part here] for my vehicle, and the price was outrageous! How do your prices compare?
You'll find that all our used truck parts are priced substantially less than new parts from the dealership. In addition, the parts we stock rebuilt and new, such as exhaust manifolds, gear sets, axles, spindles, axle assemblies, glass, and much more, are priced very competitively as well.
I can't find the truck part I'm looking for. What now?
We are connected to several nationwide parts locating systems, enabling us to search the inventories of thousands of recycling facilities from all 50 states to locate the truck part you need. Our professional truck parts specialists evaluate the quality of each part, then have the part shipped to us or right to your door!
